North Carolina High School Basketball - Midway holds off Fairmont
January 27, 2023: Dunn, NC 28366 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Midway Raiders (Dunn, NC) and the visiting Fairmont Golden Tornadoes (Fairmont, NC), saw Midway's basketball squad hold off Fairmont by a tally of 65-61.
With the victory, Midway improves its record to 11-7 on the campaign. The Raiders host Red Springs (Red Springs, NC) to confront the Red Devils in a 2A Conference 7 challenge on Monday, January 30. The Red Devils come into the challenge with a record of 13-6. Red Springs won 63-45 in their recent league challenge against St. Pauls (St. Pauls, NC)
Next up, the Golden Tornadoes confront the Clinton Dark Horses (Clinton, NC) in a 2A Conference 7 challenge, on Monday, January 30. Fairmont will attempt to improve on its 5-14 season record. The Dark Horses come into the challenge with a 3-14 record after their 83-48 league loss to East Bladen (Elizabethtown, NC).
