The Lovelady Lions basketball team scored 50 points and held the visiting Groveton Indians to 47 in the Lions league triumph on Friday.

The Lions now sport a 9-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Leon for a 2A Region III District 20 contest on Thursday, February 2.

The Indians (13-11) will now prepare for their contest against Centerville (Centerville, TX). The Tigers enter the 2A Region III District 20 contest with a 15-9 record. In their last contest, Centerville nudged Grapeland (Grapeland, TX), 67-60, in a league contest.
