Logan Wildcats (Logan, WV) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Nitro Wildcats (Nitro, WV), 80-76 in a league bout.

With the win, Logan upgrades its record to 9-8 on the season. The Wildcats host Scott (Madison, WV) to clash with the Skyhawks in a Cardinal bout on Friday, February 3. The Skyhawks go into the bout with a record of 10-5.

Next up, the Wildcats clash with the Wayne Pioneers (Wayne, WV) in a Cardinal bout, on Tuesday, January 31. Nitro will attempt to upgrade on its 7-7 season record. The Pioneers go into the bout with a 6-8 record after their 80-51 non-league loss to Wahama (Mason, WV).
