Tennessee High School Basketball - McMinn Central overwhelmed by Sweetwater
January 27, 2023: Sweetwater, TN 37874 The Sweetwater Wildcats basketball team scored 57 points and restricted the visiting McMinn Central Chargers to 36 in the Wildcats league victory on Friday.
The Wildcats now sport a 11-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Tellico Plains for a 2A District 3 contest on Tuesday, January 31. Sweetwater will battle a Bears team coming off a 73-62 league loss to Loudon (Loudon, TN). The Bears record now stands at 5-14.
The Chargers (5-15) will now prepare for their contest against Bradley Central (Cleveland, TN). The Bears come into the non-league contest with a 16-3 record. In their last contest, Bradley Central triumphed over Rhea County (Evensville, TN), 57-48, in a league contest.
