Iowa High School Basketball - Waverly-Shell Rock tops Waukon
January 27, 2023: Waverly, IA 50677 Waverly-Shell Rock Go-Hawks (Waverly, IA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Waukon Indians (Waukon, IA), 62-47 in a league bout.
With the victory, Waverly-Shell Rock upgrades its record to 11-4 on the campaign. The Go-Hawks host Webster City (Webster City, IA) to play the Lynx in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 28. The Lynx come into the bout with a record of 10-4. Webster City won 70-43 in their recent league bout against Clarion-Goldfield/DOWS (Clarion, IA)
Next up, the Indians play the North Fayette Valley (West Union, IA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 31. Waukon will attempt to upgrade on its 3-14 season record. The come into the bout with a 9-6 record after their 54-49 league loss to South Winneshiek (Calmar, IA).
