Iowa High School Basketball - Central Lyon thwarts West Lyon
January 27, 2023: Inwood, IA 51240 The Central Lyon Lions (Rock Rapids, IA) basketball knocked off the host West Lyon Wildcats (Inwood, IA), 44-35 in Friday's league test.
The Lions (11-0) will now prepare for their test against Sioux Center (Sioux Center, IA). The Warriors go into the Siouxland test with a 14-2 record. In their last test, Sioux Center notched a victory over MOC-Floyd Valley (Orange City, IA), 64-29, in a league test.
The Wildcats now own a 12-5 record. They play next when they travel to Boyden-Hull for a Siouxland test on Tuesday, January 31. West Lyon will encounter a Comets squad coming off a 54-35 league loss to Rock Valley (Rock Valley, IA). The Comets record now stands at 4-12.
