The Florence Gophers basketball team scored 61 points and held the visiting Globe Tigers to 24 in the Gophers league triumph on Friday.

The Gophers now sport a 12-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Benjamin Franklin for a 3A South Central contest on Tuesday, January 31. Florence will battle a Chargers team coming off a 51-22 league loss to Valley Christian (Chandler, AZ). The Chargers record now stands at 10-12.

The Tigers (2-13) will now prepare for their contest against American Leadership Academy - Anthem South (Florence, AZ). The Titans enter the non-league contest with a 0-18 record. In their last contest, American Leadership Academy - Anthem South was routed by Gilbert Christian (Gilbert, AZ), 46-10, in a non-league contest.
