The Florence Gophers basketball team scored 33 points and restricted the visiting San Tan Foothills Sabercats to 18 in the Gophers league victory on Friday.

The Gophers now sport a 11-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Gilbert Christian for a 3A South Central contest on Saturday, January 21.

The Sabercats (6-11) will now prepare for their contest against Benjamin Franklin (Queen Creek, AZ). The Chargers come into the 3A South Central contest with a 9-9 record. In their last contest, Benjamin Franklin prevailed over American Leadership Academy - Ironwood (Ironwood, AZ), 45-28, in a league contest.
