West Virginia High School Basketball - Preston tops Liberty

January 27, 2023: Clarksburg, WV 26301

Preston Knights (Kingwood, WV) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Liberty Mountaineers (Clarksburg, WV), 60-42 in a league bout.

With the victory, Preston upgrades its record to 6-11 on the campaign. The Knights host Brooke (Wellsburg, WV) to play the Bruins in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 28. The Bruins come into the bout with a record of 7-9. Brooke lost 73-62 in their recent non-league bout against Martins Ferry (Martins Ferry, OH)

Next up, the Mountaineers play the Fairmont Senior Polar Bears (Fairmont, WV) in a Big Ten bout, on Wednesday, February 1. Liberty will attempt to upgrade on its 4-13 season record.
