West Shore Wildcats (Melbourne, FL) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Merritt Island Mustangs (Merritt Island, FL), 47-34 in a non-league bout.

With the win, West Shore upgrades its record to 11-11 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Melbourne Central Catholic (Melbourne, FL) to play the Hustlers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 31. The Hustlers go into the bout with a record of 1-18. Melbourne Central Catholic lost 63-13 in their recent non-league bout against Father Lopez (Daytona Beach, FL)

Next up, the Mustangs play the Eau Gallie Commodores (Melbourne, FL) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 31. Merritt Island will attempt to upgrade on its 3-16 season record. The Commodores go into the bout with a 15-10 record after their 61-30 non-league win over Space Coast (Cocoa, FL).
