In Saturday's non-league match, the host Tri-County Cavaliers basketball team scored a tight 65-58 triumph over the Caston Comets.

In their next game, the Cavaliers face the North Newton Spartans (Morocco, IN) in a Midwest match, on Thursday, February 1. Tri-County will attempt to move on its 8-7 season record. The Spartans enter the match with a 7-6 record after their 73-59 non-league loss to Rensselaer Central (Rensselaer, IN).
