Kentucky High School Basketball - East Ridge overwhelms Council
January 27, 2024: Lick Creek, KY 41540 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the East Ridge Warriors (Lick Creek, KY) and the visiting Council Cobras (Council, VA), saw East Ridge's basketball squad wallop Council by a tally of 91-22.
With the victory, East Ridge improves its record to 6-6 on the campaign. The Warriors host Pike County Central (Pikeville, KY) to play the Hawks in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 27. The Hawks come into the challenge with a record of 9-7. Pike County Central won 75-52 in their recent league challenge against Belfry (Belfry, KY)
Next up, the Cobras play the Grundy Golden Wave (Grundy, VA) in a Black Diamond challenge, on Tuesday, January 30. Council will attempt to improve on its 1-11 season record. The Golden Wave come into the challenge with a 11-5 record after their 72-65 non-league win over Belfry (Belfry, KY).
