Virginia High School Basketball - Council overwhelmed by Hurley
January 9, 2024: Hurley, VA 24620 The Hurley Rebels basketball team scored 76 points and restricted the visiting Council Cobras to 35 in the Rebels league victory on Tuesday.
The Rebels now sport a 3-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Grundy for a Black Diamond contest on Thursday, January 11. Hurley will battle a Golden Wave team coming off a 94-40 league win over Twin Valley (Pilgrims Knob, VA). The Golden Wave record now stands at 7-4.
The Cobras (1-6) will now prepare for their contest against Grundy (Grundy, VA). The Golden Wave come into the Black Diamond contest with a 8-4 record. In their last contest, Grundy triumphed over Hurley (Hurley, VA), 64-40, in a league contest.
