Kentucky High School Basketball - Phelps nudges Jackson City
January 27, 2024: Jackson, KY 41339 Phelps Hornets (Phelps, KY) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Jackson City Tigers (Jackson, KY), 63-57 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Phelps upgrades its record to 11-7 on the season. The Hornets host Pike County Central (Pikeville, KY) to clash with the Hawks in a District 60 bout on Tuesday, January 30. The Hawks go into the bout with a record of 10-7. Pike County Central won 77-64 in their recent non-league bout against Shelby Valley (Pikeville, KY)
Next up, the Tigers clash with the Buckhorn Wildcats (Buckhorn, KY) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 30. Jackson City will attempt to upgrade on its 1-15 season record.
