The Spotswood Chargers basketball team scored 80 points and held the visiting South River Rams to 53 in the Chargers league triumph on Saturday.
The Chargers now sport a 12-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Wardlaw Hartridge for a Greater Middlesex - Blue contest on Monday, January 29. Spotswood will battle a Rams team coming off a 59-28 league loss to Metuchen (Metuchen, NJ). The Rams record now stands at 0-16.
The Rams (8-9) will now prepare for their contest against Academy for Urban Leadership Charter (Perth Amboy, NJ). The Jaguars enter the non-league contest with a 1-17 record. In their last contest, Academy for Urban Leadership Charter was routed by Ocean Township (Oakhurst, NJ), 60-36, in a non-league contest.
