In Saturday's non-league outing, the Ripley Vikings (Ripley, WV) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Lincoln Cougars (Shinnston, WV), by a count of 62-41.

The Vikings (9-8) will now prepare for their outing against Ravenswood (Ravenswood, WV). The Red Devils go into the non-league outing with a 12-6 record. In their last outing, Ravenswood crushed Parkersburg Catholic (Parkersburg, WV), 62-35, in a non-league match.

With the defeat, Lincoln moves to 9-7 on the year. The Cougars host Robert C. Byrd (Clarksburg, WV) to meet the Eagles in a Big Ten match on Tuesday, January 30.
