Omaha Nation Chiefs (Macy, NE) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Lower Brule Sioux (Lower Brule, SD), 60-50 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Omaha Nation upgrades its record to 9-9 on the campaign. The Chiefs host Omaha Christian Academy (Omaha, NE) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 30. The Eagles come into the bout with a record of 3-7. Omaha Christian Academy lost 40-16 in their recent non-league bout against Brownell Talbot (Omaha, NE)

Next up, the Sioux play the Crow Creek Chieftains (Stephan, SD) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 30. Lower Brule will attempt to upgrade on its 6-7 season record. The Chieftains come into the bout with a 7-6 record after their 59-44 league win over Stanley County (Fort Pierre, SD).
