North Carolina High School Basketball - Alpha Academy sneaks past Capitol Encore Academy
January 27, 2025: Fayetteville, NC 28304 The Alpha Academy Timberwolves (Fayetteville, NC) basketball edged the visiting Capitol Encore Academy Dragons (Fayetteville, NC), 48-45 in Monday's league bout.
The Timberwolves now possess a 4-6 record. They play next when they travel to Howard for a CAASC Triangle bout on Wednesday, January 29. Alpha Academy will play a Eagles team coming off a 50-45 non-league loss to North East Carolina Prep (Tarboro, NC). The Eagles record now stands at 10-5.
With the loss, Capitol Encore Academy falls to 1-9 on the campaign. The Dragons host Fayetteville Outliers (Fayetteville, NC) to play the Outliers in a non-league bout on Friday, January 31. The Outliers go into the bout with a record of 2-12. Fayetteville Outliers lost 57-43 in their recent non-league bout against Village Christian Academy (Fayetteville, NC)
