Maryland High School Basketball - Centennial thwarts Long Reach
January 27, 2025: Columbia, MD 21045 The crowd at Monday's league challenge between the Centennial Eagles (Ellicott City, MD) and the host Long Reach Lightning (Columbia, MD), observed Centennial's basketball team knock off Long Reach by a score of 75-65.
The Eagles (10-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Wilde Lake (Columbia, MD). The Wildecats come into the Howard County challenge with a 9-3 record. In their last challenge, Wilde Lake prevailed over Reservoir (Fulton, MD), 93-68, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Lightning encounter the Atholton Raiders (Columbia, MD) in a Howard County challenge, on Friday, January 31. Long Reach will attempt to improve on its 3-9 season record. The Raiders come into the challenge with a 7-6 record after their 45-35 league win over River Hill (Clarksville, MD).
