Virginia High School Basketball - Manchester thwarts Powhatan
January 27, 2025: Midlothian, VA 23112 The crowd at Monday's league challenge between the Manchester Lancers (Midlothian, VA) and the visiting Powhatan Indians (Powhatan, VA), observed Manchester's basketball team knock off Powhatan by a score of 64-51.
The Lancers (9-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Huguenot (Richmond, VA). The Falcons come into the Dominion challenge with a 2-7 record. In their last challenge, Huguenot was knocked off by Midlothian (Midlothian, VA), 72-68, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Indians encounter the Midlothian Trojans (Midlothian, VA) in a Dominion challenge, on Wednesday, January 29. Powhatan will attempt to improve on its 8-5 season record. The Trojans come into the challenge with a 2-10 record after their 72-68 league win over Huguenot (Richmond, VA).
