The Vanguard College Prep Lions basketball squad (Modesto, CA), was nudged 59-58 in Monday's league battle with the visiting Stockton Christian Eagles (Stockton, CA)

With the victory, Stockton Christian advances its record to 13-8 on the year. The Eagles host Don Pedro (La Grange, CA) to meet the Panthers in a Mountain Valley League battle on Monday, February 3. The Panthers enter the battle with a record of 0-6.

The Lions now own a 12-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lodi Academy for a Mountain Valley League battle on Tuesday, January 28. Vanguard College Prep will meet a Titans squad coming off a 47-41 non-league loss to Escondido Adventist Academy (Escondido, CA). The Titans record now stands at 7-9.
