January 27, 2025: Ishpeming, MI 49849 Ishpeming Hematites (Ishpeming, MI) supporters left the game happy Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad run past the visiting Iron Mountain Mountaineers (Iron Mountain, MI), 54-41 in a league match.
With the victory, Ishpeming advances its record to 10-2 on the year. The Hematites travel to Gwinn (Gwinn, MI) to face the Modeltowners in a Mid-Peninsula match on Wednesday, January 29. The Modeltowners enter the match with a record of 3-10. Gwinn won 47-21 in their recent league match against Manistique (Manistique, MI)
The Mountaineers now own a 2-12 record. They put it on the line next when they host Manistique for a Mid-Peninsula match on Thursday, January 30. Iron Mountain will face a Emeralds squad coming off a 47-21 league loss to Gwinn (Gwinn, MI). The Emeralds record now stands at 2-9.
