January 28, 2023: Brusly, LA 70719 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Port Allen Pelicans (Port Allen, LA) and the host Brusly Panthers (Brusly, LA), saw Port Allen's basketball squad knock off Brusly by a count of 58-49.
With the victory, Port Allen upgrades its record to 21-1 on the campaign. The Pelicans travel to Scotlandville (Baton Rouge, LA) to play the Hornets in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 31. The Hornets come into the challenge with a record of 23-2. Scotlandville won 71-48 in their recent non-league challenge against Newman (New Orleans, LA)
Next up, the Panthers play the Broadmoor Buccaneers (Baton Rouge, LA) in a 4A District 6 challenge, on Tuesday, January 31. Brusly will attempt to upgrade on its 8-4 season record. The Buccaneers come into the challenge with a 9-12 record after their 55-38 league loss to St. Michael (Baton Rouge, LA).
