West Virginia High School Basketball - Gallia Academy fells Point Pleasant

January 28, 2023: Point Pleasant, WV 25550

Gallia Academy Blue Devils (Gallipolis, OH) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Point Pleasant Big Blacks (Point Pleasant, WV), 67-51 in a league bout.

With the win, Gallia Academy upgrades its record to 14-6 on the season. The Blue Devils travel to Portsmouth (Portsmouth, OH) to play the Trojans in a Ohio Valley bout on Friday, February 3. The Trojans go into the bout with a record of 6-11. Portsmouth lost 72-70 in their recent non-league bout against North Adams (Seaman, OH)

Next up, the Big Blacks play the Marietta Tigers (Marietta, OH) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 31. Point Pleasant will attempt to upgrade on its 6-8 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 12-5 record after their 59-46 non-league win over Belpre (Belpre, OH).
