The Horseshoe Bend Mustangs basketball team scored 45 points and restricted the host Meadows Valley Mountaineers to 18 in the Mustangs non-league victory on Saturday.

The Mustangs now sport a 10-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Cascade for a 1A Long Pin contest on Tuesday, January 31. Horseshoe Bend will battle a Ramblers team coming off a 62-18 league win over Meadows Valley (New Meadows, ID). The Ramblers record now stands at 9-6.

The Mountaineers (0-11) will now prepare for their contest against Salmon River (Riggins, ID). The Savages come into the 1A Long Pin contest with a 4-11 record. In their last contest, Salmon River triumphed over Garden Valley (Garden Valley, ID), 83-80, in a league contest.
