Shamokin Area Indians (Coal Township, PA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Milton Black Panthers (Milton, PA), 41-14 in a league bout.

With the win, Shamokin Area upgrades its record to 14-4 on the season. The Indians host Central Columbia (Bloomsburg, PA) to clash with the Bluejays in a non-league bout on Wednesday, February 1. The Bluejays go into the bout with a record of 16-2. Central Columbia won 55-35 in their recent league bout against Montoursville (Montoursville, PA)

Next up, the Black Panthers clash with the Mifflinburg Wildcats (Mifflinburg, PA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 30. Milton will attempt to upgrade on its 1-12 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 5-10 record after their 47-9 league win over Midd-West (Middleburg, PA).
