Georgia High School Basketball - Georgia Military College can't hold off Johnson County
January 28, 2025: Milledgeville, GA 31061 Johnson County Trojans (Wrightsville, GA) supporters left the game happy Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the host Georgia Military College Bulldogs (Milledgeville, GA), 59-56 in a league match.
With the victory, Johnson County advances its record to 5-9 on the year. The Trojans travel to Hancock Central (Sparta, GA) to face the Bulldogs in a A D2 Region 5 match on Friday, January 31. The Bulldogs enter the match with a record of 11-7. Hancock Central won 100-22 in their recent league match against Glascock County (Gibson, GA)
The Bulldogs now own a 0-17 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Academy for Classical Education for a non-league match on Wednesday, January 29. Georgia Military College will face a Gryphons squad coming off a 63-56 non-league loss to Jackson (Jackson, GA). The Gryphons record now stands at 7-11.
