New York High School Basketball - Nichols holds off St. Mary's

The Nichols Vikings basketball team scored 83 points and limited the visiting St. Mary's Lancers to 77 in the Vikings league triumph on Tuesday.

The Vikings now have a 9-6 record. They play next when they travel to Cardinal O'Hara for a Monsignor Martin game on Thursday, January 30. Nichols will confront a Hawks team coming off a 75-47 league win over Nardin Academy (Buffalo, NY). The Hawks record now stands at 11-7.

With the loss, St. Mary's falls to 13-7 on the campaign. The Lancers travel to Sacred Heart Academy (Buffalo, NY) to confront the Sharks in a Monsignor Martin game on Thursday, January 30. The Sharks go into the game with a record of 8-8. Sacred Heart Academy lost 54-36 in their recent non-league game against Southwestern (Jamestown, NY)
