North Carolina High School Basketball - Southwestern Randolph triumphant over Providence Grove
January 28, 2025: Franklinville, NC 27233 The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Southwestern Randolph Cougars (Asheboro, NC) and the host Providence Grove Patriots (Franklinville, NC), observed Southwestern Randolph's basketball team overwhelm Providence Grove by a margin of 68-40.
The Cougars (18-0) will now prepare for their challenge against South Stanly (Norwood, NC). The Rowdy Rebel Bulls come into the non-league challenge with a 0-15 record. In their last challenge, South Stanly was trounced by Albemarle (Albemarle, NC), 71-8, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Patriots battle the Eastern Randolph Wildcats (Ramseur, NC) in a 1A/2A Piedmont challenge, on Thursday, January 30. Providence Grove will attempt to better on its 10-6 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 4-11 record after their 68-28 league loss to Randleman (Randleman, NC).
