North Carolina High School Basketball - West Stokes thwarts Morehead
January 28, 2025: Eden, NC 27288 The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the West Stokes Wildcats (King, NC) and the host Morehead Panthers (Eden, NC), observed West Stokes's basketball team knock off Morehead by a score of 45-30.
The Wildcats (12-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Surry Central (Dobson, NC). The Golden Eagles come into the non-league challenge with a 4-11 record. In their last challenge, Surry Central was knocked off by Wilkes Central (Wilkesboro, NC), 59-52, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Panthers encounter the McMichael Phoenix (Mayodan, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 31. Morehead will attempt to improve on its 6-9 season record. The Phoenix come into the challenge with a 5-10 record after their 60-20 non-league win over Magna Vista (Ridgeway, VA).
