January 28, 2025: Dudley, NC 28333 West Johnston Wildcats (Benson, NC) supporters left the game happy Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad run past the host Southern Wayne Saints (Dudley, NC), 63-50 in a non-league match.
With the victory, West Johnston advances its record to 6-5 on the year. The Wildcats host South Johnston (Four Oaks, NC) to face the Trojans in a non-league match on Thursday, January 30. The Trojans enter the match with a record of 4-8. South Johnston lost 56-39 in their recent non-league match against Fike (Wilson, NC)
The Saints now own a 2-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host C.B. Aycock for a non-league match on Wednesday, January 29. Southern Wayne will face a Golden Falcons squad coming off a 56-27 league win over Smithfield-Selma (Smithfield, NC). The Golden Falcons record now stands at 8-5.
