North Carolina High School Basketball - South Johnston nips Southern Wayne
February 4, 2025: Four Oaks, NC 27524 In Tuesday's non-league contest, the host South Johnston Trojans basketball team scored a close 48-45 triumph over the Southern Wayne Saints.
The Trojans (6-9) will now prepare for their contest against Smithfield-Selma (Smithfield, NC). The Spartans go into the non-league contest with a 3-12 record. In their last contest, Smithfield-Selma was tipped by West Johnston (Benson, NC), 44-35, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Saints battle the East Wake Warriors (Wendell, NC) in a non-league contest, on Wednesday, February 5. Southern Wayne will attempt to better on its 2-12 season record. The Warriors go into the contest with a 7-11 record after their 61-38 non-league loss to Hunt (Wilson, NC).
