In Wednesday's league contest, the host Coolidge Bears basketball team scored a big 90-18 win over the Apache Junction Prospectors.

The Bears (20-5) will now prepare for their contest against Globe (Globe, AZ). The Tigers come into the 3A Central contest with a 7-15 record. In their last contest, Globe smashed Miami (Miami, AZ), 71-37, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Prospectors confront the Florence Gophers (Florence, AZ) in a 3A Central contest, on Friday, January 30. Apache Junction will attempt to better on its 2-20 season record. The Gophers go into the contest with a 14-9 record after their 77-41 league win over Globe (Globe, AZ).
