Illinois High School Basketball - East Moline United fells Sterling
January 29, 2024: East Moline, IL 61244 East Moline United Panthers (East Moline, IL) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad overcome the visiting Sterling Golden Warriors (Sterling, IL), 54-45 in a league challenge.
With the victory, East Moline United improves its record to 14-7 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Quincy (Quincy, IL) to confront the Blue Devils in a Western Big 6 challenge on Friday, February 2. The Blue Devils come into the challenge with a record of 22-2. Quincy won 54-37 in their recent league challenge against Moline (Moline, IL)
Next up, the Golden Warriors confront the Rochelle Hubs (Rochelle, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 30. Sterling will attempt to improve on its 17-6 season record. The Hubs come into the challenge with a 10-16 record after their 90-67 non-league loss to Plano (Plano, IL).
