The St. Johnsbury Academy Hilltoppers ice hockey team scored 3 points and held the visiting Missisquoi Valley Thunderbirds to 2 in the Hilltoppers league victory on Wednesday.

The Hilltoppers now own a 2-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Burr & Burton for a bout on Saturday, February 1. St. Johnsbury Academy will play a Bulldogs team coming off a 8-4 league loss to Essex (Essex Junction, VT). The Bulldogs record now stands at 4-6.

With the defeat, Missisquoi Valley moves to 6-5 on the season. The Thunderbirds host North Country Union (Newport, VT) to play the Falcons in a bout on Saturday, February 1. The Falcons go into the bout with a record of 8-4. North Country Union lost 6-1 in their recent league bout against Harwood (Moretown, VT)
