California High School Basketball - Evergreen Valley triumphant over Gilroy
January 29, 2025: San Jose, CA 95148 The crowd at Wednesday's league challenge between the Evergreen Valley Cougars (San Jose, CA) and the visiting Gilroy Mustangs (Gilroy, CA), observed Evergreen Valley's basketball team overwhelm Gilroy by a score of 61-18.
The Cougars (14-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Oak Grove (San Jose, CA). The Eagles come into the challenge with a 1-10 record. In their last challenge, Oak Grove was routed by Ann Sobrato (Morgan Hill, CA), 62-35, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Mustangs encounter the Live Oak Acorns (Morgan Hill, CA) in a challenge, on Friday, January 31. Gilroy will attempt to improve on its 1-16 season record. The Acorns come into the challenge with a 10-5 record after their 53-27 league win over Mt. Pleasant (San Jose, CA).
