In Tuesday's non-league contest, the visiting Leland Chargers basketball team scored a big 61-18 triumph over the Gilroy Mustangs.

The Chargers (9-3) will now prepare for their contest against Evergreen Valley (San Jose, CA). The Cougars go into the non-league contest with a 8-3 record. In their last contest, Evergreen Valley was trounced by Piedmont Hills (San Jose, CA), 65-38, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Mustangs confront the Live Oak Acorns (Morgan Hill, CA) in a contest, on Wednesday, January 15. Gilroy will attempt to better on its 0-9 season record.
