Georgia High School Basketball - Apalachee thwarts Jackson County
January 3, 2023: Winder, GA 30680 The Apalachee Wildcats (Winder, GA) basketball knocked off the visiting Jackson County Panthers (Jefferson, GA), 58-47 in Tuesday's league test.
The Wildcats (5-9) will now prepare for their test against Shiloh (Snellville, GA). The Generals go into the AAAAAA Region 8 test with a 5-8 record. In their last test, Shiloh notched a victory over Habersham Central (Mt. Airy, GA), 53-50, in a league test.
The Panthers now own a 1-13 record. They play next when they host North Forsyth for a AAAAAA Region 8 test on Friday, January 6. Jackson County will encounter a Raiders squad coming off a 59-51 league loss to Lanier (Sugar Hill, GA). The Raiders record now stands at 6-7.
