January 3, 2023: LeRoy, IL 61752 In Tuesday's non-league outing, the LeRoy Panthers (LeRoy, IL) basketball squad beat the visiting Clinton Maroons (Clinton, IL), by a count of 45-37.
The Panthers (7-4) will now prepare for their outing against Fieldcrest (Minonk, IL). The Knights go into the Heart of Illinois outing with a 8-6 record. In their last outing, Fieldcrest defeated El Paso-Gridley (El Paso, IL), 58-40, in a non-league outing.
The Maroons now hold a 13-3 record. They play next when they host Sullivan for a Central Illinois outing on Friday, January 6. Clinton will clash with a Redskins squad coming off a 56-32 non-league loss to Maroa-Forsyth (Maroa, IL). The Redskins record now stands at 3-10.
