The Tremont Turks basketball team (Tremont, IL), was overwhelmed 71-49 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the visiting Clinton Maroons (Clinton, IL)

The Maroons now possess a 24-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host St. Teresa for a Central Illinois battle on Thursday, February 16. Clinton will battle a Bulldogs team coming off a 67-49 non-league win over Monticello (Monticello, IL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 23-5.

The Turks (16-12) will now prepare for their battle against Ridgeview (Colfax, IL). The Mustangs come into the Heart of Illinois battle with a 9-20 record. In their last battle, Ridgeview trounced Hartsburg-Emden (Hartsburg, IL), 61-43, in a non-league battle.
