Ohio High School Basketball - Mississinawa Valley holds off Fairlawn
January 3, 2023: Union City, OH 45390 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Mississinawa Valley Blackhawks (Union City, OH) and the visiting Fairlawn Jets (Sidney, OH), saw Mississinawa Valley's basketball squad hold off Fairlawn by a tally of 63-57.
With the victory, Mississinawa Valley improves its record to 2-6 on the campaign. The Blackhawks travel to Twin Valley South (West Alexandria, OH) to confront the Panthers in a Western Ohio challenge on Friday, January 6. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 3-6. Twin Valley South lost 60-17 in their recent non-league challenge against Preble Shawnee (Camden, OH)
Next up, the Jets confront the Jackson Center Tigers (Jackson Center, OH) in a Shelby County challenge, on Wednesday, January 4. Fairlawn will attempt to improve on its 0-9 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 8-0 record after their 49-8 league win over Houston (Houston, OH).
