Virginia High School Basketball - Henrico overwhelms Mechanicsville
January 3, 2023: Richmond, VA 23227 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Henrico Warriors (Richmond, VA) and the visiting Mechanicsville Mustangs (Mechanicsville, VA), saw Henrico's basketball squad wallop Mechanicsville by a tally of 72-42.
With the victory, Henrico improves its record to 5-6 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Armstrong (Richmond, VA) to confront the Wildcats in a Capital challenge on Friday, January 6. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a record of 1-5. Armstrong lost 61-41 in their recent league challenge against Patrick Henry (Ashland, VA)
Next up, the Mustangs confront the Essex Trojans (Tappahannock, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, January 4. Mechanicsville will attempt to improve on its 1-7 season record. The Trojans come into the challenge with a 1-4 record after their 75-67 non-league loss to Northampton (Eastville, VA).
