The Los Fresnos Falcons basketball team scored 51 points and held the visiting La Joya Coyotes to 38 in the Falcons non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Falcons now sport a 21-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Rivera for a 6A Region IV District 32 contest on Friday, January 6. Los Fresnos will battle a Raiders team coming off a 63-40 non-league loss to Edinburg (Edinburg, TX). The Raiders record now stands at 12-8.

The Coyotes (5-13) will now prepare for their contest against Edinburg North (Edinburg, TX). The Cougars enter the 6A Region IV District 31 contest with a 11-10 record. In their last contest, Edinburg North ran past Hanna (Brownsville, TX), 37-31, in a non-league contest.
