Los Fresnos Falcons (Los Fresnos, TX) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Hanna Golden Eagles (Brownsville, TX), 46-43 in a league bout.

With the victory, Los Fresnos upgrades its record to 23-6 on the campaign. The Falcons travel to San Benito (San Benito, TX) to play the Greyhounds in a 6A Region IV District 32 bout on Tuesday, January 17. The Greyhounds come into the bout with a record of 20-9. San Benito lost 40-28 in their recent league bout against Harlingen (Harlingen, TX)

Next up, the Golden Eagles play the Weslaco Panthers (Weslaco, TX) in a 6A Region IV District 32 bout, on Tuesday, January 17. Hanna will attempt to upgrade on its 11-18 season record.
