January 20, 2023: Brownsville, TX 78521 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Rivera Raiders (Brownsville, TX) and the visiting Hanna Golden Eagles (Brownsville, TX), saw Rivera's basketball squad overcome Hanna by a tally of 43-27.
With the victory, Rivera improves its record to 13-12 on the campaign. The Raiders travel to Los Fresnos (Los Fresnos, TX) to play the Falcons in a 6A Region IV District 32 challenge on Tuesday, January 24. The Falcons come into the challenge with a record of 23-8. Los Fresnos lost 55-42 in their recent league challenge against Harlingen (Harlingen, TX)
Next up, the Golden Eagles play the San Benito Greyhounds (San Benito, TX) in a 6A Region IV District 32 challenge, on Tuesday, January 24. Hanna will attempt to improve on its 11-20 season record. The Greyhounds come into the challenge with a 21-10 record after their 54-30 league loss to Weslaco (Weslaco, TX).
