In Tuesday's non-league match, the visiting Union Mine Diamondbacks basketball team scored a good 39-24 triumph over the Placer Hillmen.

In their next game, the Diamondbacks meet the Liberty Ranch Hawks (Galt, CA) in a match, on Friday, January 6. Union Mine will attempt to move on its 9-3 season record. The Hawks enter the match with a 4-5 record after their 57-29 non-league loss to Sierra (Manteca, CA).
