The Ponderosa Bruins (Shingle Springs, CA) basketball knocked off the visiting Placer Hillmen (Auburn, CA), 43-31 in Thursday's league test.

The Bruins (13-8) will now prepare for their test against Oakmont (Roseville, CA). The Vikings go into the test with a 1-17 record. In their last test, Oakmont went down by West Park (Roseville, CA), 46-5, in a league test.

The Hillmen now own a 3-13 record. They play next when they host Lincoln for a test on Tuesday, January 31. Placer will encounter a Fighting Zebras squad coming off a 37-30 league loss to Nevada Union (Grass Valley, CA). The Fighting Zebras record now stands at 8-17.
