California High School Basketball - River City ripped by Monterey Trail

January 3, 2024: West Sacramento, CA 95691

The Monterey Trail Mustangs basketball team scored 83 points and held the host River City Raiders to 37 in the Mustangs league triumph on Wednesday.

The Mustangs now sport a 12-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to McClatchy for a Metropolitan Conference contest on Friday, January 5. Monterey Trail will battle a Lions team coming off a 61-44 non-league loss to Oakmont (Roseville, CA). The Lions record now stands at 6-10.

The Raiders (8-8) will now prepare for their contest against Grant (Sacramento, CA). The Pacers enter the Metropolitan Conference contest with a 7-6 record. In their last contest, Grant triumphed over Burbank (Sacramento, CA), 73-57, in a non-league contest.
