January 3, 2024: Ronda, NC 28670 North Surry Greyhounds (Mount Airy, NC) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host East Wilkes Cardinals (Ronda, NC), 45-25 in a non-league bout.
With the win, North Surry upgrades its record to 7-0 on the season. The Greyhounds host East Surry (Pilot Mountain, NC) to play the Cardinals in a non-league bout on Friday, January 5. The Cardinals go into the bout with a record of 6-4. East Surry won 27-20 in their recent non-league bout against Mount Airy (Mount Airy, NC)
Next up, the Cardinals play the Elkin Buckin' Elks (Elkin, NC) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 5. East Wilkes will attempt to upgrade on its 4-4 season record. The Buckin' Elks go into the bout with a 3-4 record after their 27-25 non-league win over Union Grove Christian (Lexington, NC).
