East Wilkes Cardinals (Ronda, NC) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting South Stokes Sauras (Walnut Cove, NC), 32-28 in a non-league bout.

With the win, East Wilkes upgrades its record to 6-4 on the season. The Cardinals travel to Alleghany (Sparta, NC) to play the Trojans in a non-league bout on Friday, January 12. The Trojans go into the bout with a record of 1-2.

Next up, the Sauras play the North Stokes Vikings (Danbury, NC) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 19. South Stokes will attempt to upgrade on its 5-3 season record.
